Wabash Middle School Canned Food Drive

WMS Student Council lead the annual canned food drive this past week.  Classrooms were challenged to bring in food in support of our community that will be donated to FISH.  The class competition was set up 5th grade SSR classes b 6th Grade SSR Classes and the same scenario for grades 7 and 8.  Below are the results of the record breaking year.  WMS raised over 2,500 items for FISH.

Mr. Mattern shared: "I am very proud of our students for finding ways to help out and contribute to the great community of Wabash.  The Student Council did a great job planning, organizing and executing the week long event.  Our student council has great leadership this year, with a great and active group of officers.  The students efforts and success reminds us that kids can give back and make a difference.  Often kids get a "bad rap" when in reality this is the type of things that our kids participate in regularly.  The long and short of it is, we at WCS have great students!"
