Internet Safety Presentations

Learning for our students does not just include conquering the Indiana College and Career Readiness Standards.  Responsible use of the internet and internet safety is also an important part of a child's learning experience here at WMS.

In the past couple weeks and into next week, Mr. and Mrs. LePage (our school counselors) are meeting with each grade level for a 30 minute interactive training session addressing on-line do's and don'ts.  Topics include appropriate personal use of technology, electronic bullying, chatting, email, and overall safe practices in regard surfing the web.

Our school corporation has an acceptable use policy, a standard by which we hold ourselves and our students.  This policy is located on the Wabash City Schools webpage within each buildings Student Handbook for your review.

WCS continues to offer our students an outstanding and well rounding learning experience.  1-1 computing is a large part of preparing our students to be "college and career ready".  With a 1-1 environment comes the challenge of helping students learn to use the web in a productive and safe manner.  Internet safety presentations is one way to fill this responsibility.
