Welcome Back!

The staff at WMS would like to welcome back all our students and family's.  We feel that first semester was outstanding and look to have an even better semester this spring.





A couple items of business to address:

School Goals:

80% of Wabash Middle School Students will receive a score of passing on the 2014-12 Spring ISTEP in E/la and/or Math

Assessment Update:

As a school, WMS students increased the average % correct on the the Acuity Readiness II in E/La by 6.5%

As a school, WMS students increased the average % correct on the the Acuity Readiness II in Math by 5.75%

Flex Class Remediation

WMS will be using Flex Class to remediate students of all levels to continue their educational progress.  Each grade level is planning the best use of this time based upon the data we receive from Acuity.  This data driven educational emphasis will most certainly help our student grow educationally.

How you can help:

Encourage your student to read; to read over and above our required AR Reading.  Read challenging articles with your student, speak with them about the articles, ask them their opinion and have them support their opinion with evidence from the text.
