Thanks for Attending the Parent Meeting

  Thanks to all parents and students that attended the WMS Standards and Assessment Meeting.

   Even on a cold night in November, many parents and students made it out to the 30 minute meeting emphasizing the shift in Indiana Standards to the Indiana College and Career Ready Standards and the new assessments that come along with this major shift.

    Mr. Mattern spoke to the parents and then invited them to challenge themselves by taking the "ISTEP Experience" located on the DOE website.  It is our hope that this meeting helped students and parents alike understand the shifts in expected learning outcomes for students and the future in terms of ISTEP and other assessments.

Thanks again to all those that braved the cold weather and made time in their busy schedules to attend this information meeting.
