Middle School Fall Sports

Middle School sports are beginning to pick up steam for the fall season.  Below is some basic information regarding our sports offerings.

1.)  All students wanting to participate in MS athletics must have an athletic physical on file with the Athletic Office prior to beginning practice.

2.)  Sports schedules can be accessed online or picked up in the Athletic Office in the high school.

3.)  All students must be in good academic and behavioral standing to participate in WMS athletics.  See online handbook for details.

Current listing of Fall Sports for Middle School Students:

1.  Football (grades 6,7,8)
2.  Volleyball (grades 5, 6, 7, 8)
3.  Tennis (grades 5,6,7,8)
4.  Cheerleading (grades 6,7 - tryouts were in the Spring)
5.  Cross-Country (grades 5,6,7,8)

Please check with your students on specifics of call-outs, practices etc.  Call-out meetings are generally sent to the student's via email, often there are twitter and Facebook reminders as well.

We encourage students to find a connection to school.  If athletics is their thing or they want to push themselves to learn a new sport, the fall season has many opportunities to participate.  Being a part of something school related will give them a  more balanced experience and hopefully enhance the great experience they are having at WMS.
